There is currently lots of refurbishment work being done to the area where the glass floor is and if it was busier it would have been difficult to access this area. It wasn’t busy when we arrived but we left about 11.30 am there was a fairly long queue. We weren’t allowed access early but had to wait in a short queue until the allotted time. We arrived half an hour early for our 10.30 am visit on a Thursday in mid July. I visited with my family including two grandsons, 7 and 10 years old who really enjoyed the experience. There really is a fantastic view of Toronto from the general observation deck. Maybe this would be great if they didn’t cram so many people in the elevators and they finish construction on the glass floor level. Then you have to wait in another 10-30 minute line to take an elevator down and then try to find your way out of the maze they call a gift shop that covers half the ground level. Nearly all the walls were under construction/covered on the lower level so the only real view on that floor was the glass floor. They tell you you can go to the “glass floor” one level down (you have to take two sets of stairs) and there is maybe 8 ft by 35 ft wide with everyone trying to lay on it and take selfies. Then they set you loose on one floor that wraps around the tower, the view was okay, it was very hazy that day. It was 8:15 pm by the time we got on the elevator where they crammed more than 12 of us in to the point where you’re crushed against other people’s backpacks. They funneled us into a line outside for 15 minutes and then through security, then another line outside for 10 minutes, then another line inside for 10 minutes where they finally checked our tickets, then funneled us into a line that wraps around and inside for an additional 30-40 minutes, we waited over an HOUR just to get into the elevator. This place was not worth the wait or the money.
